For one baby, breastfeeding experts recommend feeding on demand. However, when trying to feed two or more babies, most parents of multiples take a more scheduled approach. (See Poll: Do You Keep Your Multiples On a Schedule.) If your multiples are monozygotic, they will likely have similar metabolisms and follow similar feeding patterns. But if they don't, you can still try to keep them on a simultaneous schedule. If one baby is ready to nurse, give the other the opportunity to nurse, even if you have to wake her up. But be flexible. Your babies aren't clones.
