The oldest living identical twins celebrated a big milestone recently, turning 103 years old on Christmas Eve. Ann Primack and Charlotte Eisgrou were born as Ann and Charlotte Engerman on December 24, 1909. The pair both live in Florida, and remain in good health despite their advanced age. Though they were not able to celebrate their birthday together due to recent falls, they remain each other's best friends. Both women live independently and are active.
Although Ann and Charlotte hold the record as the world's oldest living identical twins, another pair of twin girls from Scotland claim the title as world's oldest twins. Dizygotic (fraternal) sisters from Aberdeenshire, Scotland are a few days older than the ladies from Florida. Edith Ritchie and Evelyn Middleton were born on November 15, 1909. The oldest twins ever recorded were Japanese sisters Kinsan Narita and Ginsan Kanie, who lived to be 107 years, 175 days and 108 years, 211 days, respectively. Allen Jackson of the United States is still living at 109+ years old; his twin died at the age of 105 in 2009.
