Do you have a favorite twin? Parents of twins, who work so diligently to keep things fair and equal for their children, may not want to admit a preference. But with two children of the same age competing for parental attention, it is natural to feel an affinity for one over the other at times. Maybe it is the good twin, the one you can always count on to behave while his twin gets into mischief. Maybe it is the twin who was smaller at birth, who always needed a little extra cuddling to pull through. Maybe your favorite changes from day to day, depending on whose needs are more demanding.
It's important for parents to appreciate their multiples as individuals, even if that means that you "favor" one over the other whether in appearance or actuality. However, true favoritism in families can be demeaning and damanging, perhaps even moreso for twins than singletons.
