Recently I've enjoyed exploring some of the Parenting Multiples sites at Examiner.com. Examiners are local writers in over 100 cities across the United States. Whether giving their insights into community news that impacts families or directing readers to the best places to spend a rainy day with toddler twins, these individuals bring an interesting local perspective to their articles about parenting multiples.
No matter where they call home, one thing that unites parents of multiples are the funny, quirky ways that they adapt to the challenges of raising multiples. I highlight some of them in my You Know You're a Mom of Multiples When... article. Several Examiners also contributed to this topic on their sites. Take a tour across the country, stopping in:
• Nashville (You had to buy another garbage can just to get all the dirty diapers out to the curb.)
• Wichita (One twin shares a comment with you and a few minutes later, the other twin walks in to share the exact same observation.)
• Kansas City (Your diaper bag is bigger than you.)
• Denver (Purchasing Halloween costumes becomes a theme in threes (in our case) - The Three Musketeers, Three Blind Mice, The Three Bears.)
Find out if your city has an Examiner edition with a Parenting Multiples Examiner, and if not, consider applying to be an Examiner so you can share your knowledge about parenting multiples. And if you have a great "You Know You're a Mom of Multiples" moment, please share it!
