I was gestational diabetic during my pregnancy, shooting with insulin on a daily basis. Felt great, healthy (I lived on salads and protein), and at the end (and still pregnant), weighed 4 lbs more than when I started. Happily walked out of the hospital in my regular clothes with 2 healthy babies (now 6 1/2 years old).
I gained 70 pounds with my twins, but they were born at a whopping 7 lbs. 13 oz. and 6 lbs. 9 oz. at birth, and my legs swelled up like tree trunks! Fortunately, everyone is very healthy, and I’m now back down to my usual 120 pounds (with a little extra skin!).
I gained about 35lbs., my twin girls were born at 36 weeks (induced–due to a fast labor history with my 3 boys). They weighed 4# 10oz. and 5#. We all went home after 3 days, never saw the N.I.C.U.! After only 3 months, I was back to my normal size. I stopped measuring my waist when it got to 52″.
It was by far the hardest pregnancy, and somewhat thankfully the last (no more for me, 5 is enough).
I gained a total of 13 pounds with my twins who were born at 32 weeks due to TTTS. They were 2.15 and 3.12. The next day i weighed 1 pound less then i did before i got pregnant. I get called all kinds of nasty names from other mothers who gained weight, have extra skin and stretch marks lol.
