Multiple Birth and Multiple Sclerosis: Is There a Connection?

Multiple Sclerosis (MS), a disease of the nervous system, is known to run in families, and scientists have long recognized a susceptibility to the condition among identical twins. However, a a new study reports that being a twin does not necessarily increase the risk of contracting the disease.

As in this study, twins and other multiples often play an important role in scientific research.
