During the months of twin pregnancy, there are some things you can do to prepare for welcoming twins to the family. Getting a head start will make things a little bit easier once your twins are born. What advice would you give to expectant twin parents about how to prepare for twins? How did you get ready for the birth of twins? Share Your Advice
- I HAD TWO CRIBS BUT AS NEWBORNS I WANTED THEM TOGETHER. THEY LOOKED SO TINY IN A BIG CRIB ALL ALONE. AS THEY GOT OLDER I WOULD LAY THEM ON THEIR TUMMIES FACING EACH OTHER. THERE IS NO WAY TO PREPARE FOR TWINS. THE REAL WORK STARTS WHEN YOU BRING THEM HOME.

Advice for twins
- Allow others to help you during the day and take advantage of naps. It does get better and you get more sleep around 4 months.

Put everything together early!
- We got a ton of "stuff" for my twins' shower that needed to be assembled -- swings, bouncy seats, strollers, etc. My best friend, who has triplets, told me to take one thing a day and put it together. It helped to pass the time when I was home by myself on maternity leave and it helped to build the excitement of the babies coming. Put all of it together early because there will be no time when the babies get here!
