What is Special About This Dad of Multiples?

He is truly Mr. Mom. My super dad is the primary caregiver to our twins while I work a very long day out of the home. He dresses, feeds, plays with, bathes, reads to and cares for our twins. He also does the housework, his own work (from home), dishes, laundry, and makes sure there is a nice glass of wine and smiling babies waiting for mommy when I get home! I leave the house every morning knowing that my kids are with the best person in the entire world who will make sure that their every whim is taken care of and loves them with all his heart! It truly is a blessing, I knew he was a great husband-now stellar dad

What Should We Know About Your Multiples?

My twins are now almost 10 months old. they are crawling at different stages, eating everything. Incredibly inquisitive about each other and everything else. They were born at 34 weeks, after I was on bed rest since 27 weeks due to a placenta previa. They were 5lb1oz and 5lb8oz and 18.5 in. They were in NICU for varying amt of time due to Brady's - all else was great. They are truly amazing and alot of fun every day.

Advice

  • Enjoy every minute, I wouldn't want it any other way
  • Sleep when you can
  • Don't worry about following the advice of everyone else; especially parents of singletons. This is totally different.
  • Keep with a schedule as much as possible
  • Don't compare them against each other - as hard as that is
  • Don't compare them against singletons born at full term
  • Let them enjoy each other, even when they're bonking their heads together
  • Choose where they sleep based on their patterns, and what works for you. They won't be scarred for life if they don't sleep together or even in the same bed
  • Don't sweat the small stuff
