What is Special About This Dad of Multiples?

It is just my husband and I taking care of these two precious babies. We are both new parents so we are having to learn really fast. The first three months were probably the most overwhelming for me. There were a few times my husband would call home to check on us and I would be in tears, he would come home from work to my rescue, without a question. He is always willing to help and be their by my side. He is supportive and understanding...even when I'm moody. :) Seeing him with our girls is just priceless. I am so proud of him as a father and husband!

What Should We Know About Your Multiples?

Our girls were born at 34 weeks, both weighing 5 lbs 1 oz. I was fortunate enough not to need a c-section. After only one extra day at the hospital we were able to bring both home. Olivia and Sophia are night and day. Olivia looks like Daddy and Sophia looks like me. Olivia is calm and content, while Sophia is alert and vocal. However, they are both affectionate and love snuggling. The girls are now four months. They are growing and developing so fast, they amaze us every day. We are truly blessed to have them!

Advice

  • We have learned to stick together as a team and laugh things off. It can get real stressful, especially if help is limited. Also, it is normal if at times you feel overwhelmed. Just remember, it does get better with time!
