Think spring! Brianna and Bailey are twin sisters who were 2 1/2 year old in this picture from Easter 2009. The girls are identical twins, also known as monozygotic twins. Monozygotic twins form when a single fertilized egg splits into two embryos. Because the twins share the same DNA set, they tend to have similar features. However, identical twins are not exactly the same. For one thing, they have different fingerprints. Sometimes it can be hard to tell twins apart when they look so much the same.
