Support NICU Kits Project
Thursday March 27, 2008
I've been following the Murray family's 4tunate blog about their quadruplet boys for quite a while, starting during the pregnancy (which was originally thought to be triplets). I like their fresh, honest voice as they describe their experiences and their positive outlook in the midst of challenges. Now, reading their blog can help them fund a terrific project: creating NICU Surivival Kits for other families of higher order multiples undergoing a NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) stay following a preterm birth. The kits include meaningful and handy items for parents to use during their stay, like hand lotion, baby blankets, a journal, disposable cameras and change for vending machines. These must be such a blessing to the families who receive them and I think it's great that the Murray family is finding a way to give back to others.

One prepaid telephone card that is renewable would be great. We had a phone that was free within the state but our in-laws were out of state. We just didn’t want to leave our babies for a minute to go buy a card. Even if it only had a couple of minutes on it that would be helpful to have it in the hand. Usually you are caught off guard like I was when giving birth and not thinking clearly.
I think this family is doing a great work for the Lord.
