Two New Sets of Sextuplets

Tuesday June 12, 2007
Two sets of sextuplets were born less than a day apart in June 2007. The Morrison six -- four boys and two girls -- were born in Minneapolis on Sunday, June 10 while the Masches -- three boys and three girls -- were born Monday, June 11 in Phoenix.

The Morrison babies, originally due in October, were born at twenty-two weeks gestation and faced life-threatening complications due to their prematurity. Their names are: Lucia Rae (died July 23), Cadence Alana (died June 23), Bennet Ryan (died June 13), Tryg Benton (died June 14), Lincoln Sean (died June 15) and Sylas Christopher.

The Masche six were born about ten weeks early and are named Bailey Elizabeth, Savannah Jane, Molli Grace, Cole Robert, Blake Nickolas and Grant William. Although their mother, Jenny, faced serious heart complications due to the strain of carrying and delivering six babies, everyone is doing fine.

Oh my! I just cried and cried reading the website about these incredible fathers and mothers of sextuplets!!! And I thought my twins were so hard to take care I just cannot imagine how they will manage. But it seems like both families the Morrisons and the Masches have so much faith and trust in one another. My heart goes out to them and I hope they get all of the help they need.
