Biting Babies

"Does anyone have suggestions for disciplining a 13 month old for biting? Emma bites Olivia when she doesn't get her way and Olivia is becoming covered in bruises. (1) Eva says:

My sister Roberta was a biter, too. She would bite visiting freinds as well as her siblings. One day our Mom (mother of 6) got fed up after Berta had bitten me and she (Mom) bit Roberta. Berta cried, said she hadn’t bit me as hard as Mom bit her - but she stopped biting. Not sure about the pedagogy of that but it worked.
