(1) Brady & Drew's Mom says:

I have both types of strollers. I find both have advantages depending on how I need to use them.
If we are going somehwere like the zoo where we will be walking & need to carry a diaper bag and possibly a cooler, I use the tandem stroller beacuse it has a large basket underneath for all of those belongings.
I have a smaller umberlla type side by side stroller that I use for shorter trip, such as going to the grocery store or getting the boys into & out of daycare. This one is easier to maneuver, and much lighter in weight, but it doesn’t have the basket underneat. So, it’s not as conducive to longer trips.

Hi Brady & Drew’s Mom - I agree with you, sometimes it’s best to have both. I also found a lightweight double umbrella stroller to be very useful; in fact we used it long after they outgrew the stroller phase. Thanks for your comment!

HELP! I have just found out I’m having twins. I’m very excited but am terrified also. We moved to the states nearly 2 years ago from England, the hardest thing to adapt to is the lack of places in waking distance. So a double stroller which can accomodate walking around the neighbourhood and going to the store is a must. I have read lots of reviews but few are for newborn twins. Any advice from someone who has done it would be great. My ideal doesnt seem to have been made!
