Have you encountered stereotypes about twins? I think that there are some commonly held beliefs about twins that don't accurately represent the reality. For example, sometimes twins are expected to be best friends, or to be exactly alike. It can be hurtful or cause difficulty for multiples when it prevents people -- teachers, coaches, peers -- from recognizing and appreciating each child's unique qualities.
What do you think? Have you witnessed or experienced examples of twin stereotypes? Share your thoughts in the comments.
