It's Five for Friday! Each week, I share five things that are on my mind, or on my radar, so that you can enjoy them too! Let's get started.

1) Close to Home is a comic featured in my local newspaper. My daughter brought this to my attention yesterday and it totally cracked me up. I am sure that we have all thought about doing this at some point! When you have multiples the questions and public curiosity is unavoidable.

2) Little Bee My book club is meeting this week after a summer hiatus and the book we are discussing is Little Bee by Chris Cleave. I finished it earlier this week and WOW! An incredible book. I can not wait to discuss it with my book club buddies because it blew me away. It's a book that is a little bit difficult to explain. It's so sad, yet so hopeful at the same time. I loved it, and I also hated it ... for ending. The writing is exquisite. The characters are both lovable and despicable. The publisher keeps the details of the plot secret, and I don't want to give any details either in order to avoid ruining the experience for future readers. It's a book that I'll be thinking about for a long time. Even though I finished reading it, I keep picking it up to reread passages, just to savor the language and allow myself to chew on the concepts a little longer.

3) Kate Plus 8: Next Monday, TLC will air the final episode of Kate Plus 8, the megamultiples reality show featuring the Gosselin twins and sextuplets. Well, it used to feature the multiples back when the show started as Jon and Kate Plus 8 in 2007. Recently, the show seems to be nothing but a travelogue showcasing Kate's histrionics. Initially, I enjoyed the show. The twin girls and toddler sextuplets were super cute, and a reality show about family life with multiples was novel and interesting. But now, it is just uncomfortable to watch. What do you think? Are you sad to see it end? Will you miss it? Or are you glad to say goodbye? Share a comment. And vote in this poll: Who's your favorite mom of multiples?

4) 4Tunate.net: One of my favorite bloggers was invited to the White House to participate in a tweetup. I've been following this blog since Jen & Brad Murray were pregnant with what they thought were triplets. Turned out it was actually quadruplet boys, who are now 4 years old and so incredibly cute! While my favorite part of the blog are the pictures and videos of the boys, there are also some great insights and helpful tips (5 Quick & Healthy Breakfast Ideas, DIY Sidewalk Chalk Paint, Square Foot Gardening). Jen recently shared her experience with abdominoplasty, a surgical procedure that many moms find necessary to repair the physical damages wreaked by a multiple pregnancy.

5) Breakfast Biscuits: With two high schoolers, I am always looking for quick breakfast ideas. It makes sense to me to get up five minutes early in order to make time to eat breakfast, but teenagers don't seem to get that concept. One concept that they do like are these breakfast biscuits, a tasty, nourishing breakfast option that is easy to eat on the run. I usually make a double batch, then wrap them individually before freezing them. The twins are able to pop them in the microwave for a quick reheat in the mornings. No assembly required. They are a lifesaver for busy school mornings, and pretty delicious too!
