What's Different When There's More Than One?

Tuesday June 30, 2009
As soon as you find out that you are expecting twins or more, your pregnancy takes a different turn. With each additional baby, there are more risks, more considerations, more factors to consider. A recent study produced some interesting results that indicated that there are also biological differences in the process of premature birth in multiples versus singleton pregnancies. It was found that a progesterone gel proven to reduce early births of singletons was simply not effective for multiples. It is hoped that further research into this issue will reveals more specific and effective ways to reduce preterm birth of multiples.
