Got the Winter Blues?
Monday January 12, 2009
Somehow, winter seems fun and exciting in December. Snow and ice are a backdrop for the festive season and bundling up against the chill feels cozy and snuggly. But come January, I'm over it! The winter weather is a nuisance; I'm tired of the dark and the cold. Cabin fever sets in and I feel like germs are lurking in every corner, just waiting to attack us. It's definitely my most difficult season for parenting.

The hardest part for me, mother of boy/girl twins is when my energy level is low. I love keeping my kids busy and seeing them laugh.
Isn’t that just the best part of having twins? It does drain your energy to have two at once, but the rewards are more than double! That’s why it is so important for moms of twins to take care of themselves and keep their energy up. I think that is why I find it so difficult in the winter — battling the cold and darkness, as well as trying to keep myself and my twins from getting sick.
