From Nick Jr. to PBS Kids to Noggin to Disney, there is plenty of programming on television for children. There's even DVD programs aimed at babies, like Baby Einstein. Television and video is a pervasive part of our culture and parents have a big responsibility to control and manage their children's intake. It's a balancing act. Many programs have definite developmental and educational benefits, and every parent experiences those moments when popping in a video is the only way to make it through until naptime. - No. I don't think babies should watch television.
- No, but... we do own some DVDs and videos designed for babies and toddlers.
- Occasionally. They watch age-appropriate DVDs, videos and television programming.
