Reduce the Risk of SIDS with a Simple Household Item

Monday October 6, 2008
A simple strategy can reduce the risk of SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) by more than 70%. A recent study found that running a fan in the room where your babies are sleeping improves ventilation and increases airflow. However, researchers urge that the practice should be accompanied by other safety measures, like creating a safe sleeping environment and putting babies to sleep on their backs.

So making a fan part of their children's nursery decor seems like an easy preventative measure. Learn more about the connection between SIDS and Twins.
