Having twins or multiples can really put a pinch on your pocketbook. For one thing, you need double or triple of everything: cribs, clothes, carseats and college funds.

Forget about hand-me-downs, too. With two or more babies arriving at the same time, you don't have the advantage of recycling baby clothes, equipment and gear from older siblings.

Worried about the cost of having twins? It's true that having multiples increases the amount of stuff and supplies you'll need to buy. But, your budget doesn't necessarily have to double or triple. Try these savings strategies to keep costs under control.
