Poll: Are You Friends With Other Parents of Twins?
Soon after I found out I was having twins, I became friendly with other twin-mom-to-be in our neighborhood. She delivered her babies a couple of months before mine, and we enjoyed comparing notes about our experiences. Once I joined a local mothers of multiples group, I met lots of fellow MOTs (mothers of twins). There were lots of opportunities for socializing, like Mom's Night Out, monthly socials, as well as playgroups and family activities. As my girls got older, however, I found that my friendships were based more on common interests than having twins. Today, I do have friends with twins, but that is not the basis of our friendship.
What about you? How important are your twin mom/twin dad friends? Have the relationships changed as your twins got older? Did you meet your twin parent friends through a multiples club or on your own? Are your children playmates as well? Be sure to share your thoughts by leaving a comment after you vote in the poll.
