Who's Older? Not Always An Easy Answer!

Saturday November 1, 2003
One of the most common "stupid questions" that people ask about twins is "Who's older?" Massachusetts twins born last weekend won't have an easy answer to the question, reports the Daily Hampshire Gazette. Ann and Taylor Ezell were born October 26th at 1:57 and 2:25 am, respectively. But their births straddled the annual adjustment for daylight savings time, which occurs on the last Sunday of October at 2:00 am when the clocks are set back to 1:00 am. So the offical birth time for Taylor, the second born, was actually recorded as 1:25 am, 32 minutes before her "older" twin.
